We have known, worked, and talked with many people over the course of our lives. We have formed personal relationships that no longer exist; We carry memories that linger.

Memories don't always exist in our brains as comprehensive, coherent narratives. They can be fragmented, with distinct elements stored in different regions of the brain (depicted here as cubic cells).
Memories are not always accurate representations of past events. Deconstructing memories may involve considering the role of perspective and bias in shaping how we remember events.
